Is it just me, or does this trailer look pretty cool? Either that or I'm blinded to my loyalty to one of Boston's proudest sons...

EMBRACE YOUR IRISHNESS, CROWLEY!
Trailers are dangerous. I think Meet Dave looks great based on its trailer.
Oh, by the way Remember the joke we had in BRINK draft 1 where Sexy-1010 assumes the name of the most popular name on Earth - Ling Quan?
Check this out from a review of MEET DAVE:
Upon meeting his first human, Gina (Elizabeth Banks), he blurts out a name offered to him by a researcher crewmember (Gabrielle Union). She chooses what she gleaned was one of the world's most common names: Ming Chang. Murphy assumes the identity of Dave Ming Chang. It's incongruous and worth a chuckle, but the joke gets stretched to the breaking point.
Yeah. I think it looks really good actually. It reminds me of Galaxy Quest and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids mixed with a bit of Men in Black and whatnot.
The packed cinema I was in to see Hancock were roaring with laughter at it, and to be fair, it is a very funny premise with huge potential. I am sure it doesn't live up to it's promise but the trailer sells it for me as a big, fun adventure comedy. What's not to love?
To me? Everything. It honestly looks like the most wretched piece of cinema this side of Eddie Murphy's last disaster. I didn't laugh once, but I did throw up in my mouth a little.
...but that's just me. I honestly never plan on knowing how the flick actually plays.
Strong reactions. I haven't liked a Murphy film since Bowfinger which is a classic, but I do like him. And this looks like a script I would write. So, yeah. Haha.

Zeitgeist, baby.
Wow. That's pretty cool. BUT...
You think the trailer for MEET DAVE looks good?!?!

STARSHIP DAVE was such a better title, though.
